ULB’s GEP approval and external communication

We are excited to share with you that our project partner Université Libre de Bruxelles officially published on its institutional website their approved version of the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) developed within the context of the CALIPER Project.

This GEP is the outcome of the internal and external assessment that has been conducted during the past months.

According to the European Commission, the publication and official endorsement of the GEP, is one of the building blocks for the GEP to be effective.  Moving further, the GEP should be actively communicated both internally and externally to increase awareness and commitment to the actions foreseen.

In this vein, Sara Aguirre, ULB gender and diversity researcher and CALIPER project manager, presented the ULB’s Gender Equality Plan in the round table “Women in Science”, organised in the framework of the “I love science” Festival that took place from 15/10/2021 to 17/10/2021. Organised by Nighthawks, she discussed, together with Rania Charkaoui (WomIn Tech) and Asma Boujtat (Science Ambassador 2021), how we can encourage girls and young women to study science and pursue a scientific career.

The recording is available on the festival’s website (registration required in 2 stages) and it will be available until November 16, 2021.
