The UNILE WIN event

The project acknowledges that gender stereotypes also exist in the business sector and that more women in STEM are needed. Each GEP implementing partner had to organise its WIN event. In particular, the WIN event had a double fold aim: on one side it highlighted and valued women’s led innovations presenting startups and spin offs and examples of gender sensitive product development/design; on the other hand, it raised awareness to attract more girls to STEM research.

The WIN event of UNILE on the 21st of May 2022, was held online and had the aim of presenting excellent researchers working in the R&I sector and have won international awards on research projects, as well as women entrepreneurs who work on promoting a gender policy within their businesses.

The event was structured as a congress workshop. The topics of the discussion revolved around how the gender perspective can be integrated into the sector of neuroscience, as well as the contribution of women scientists in the sector. After each intervention, a broad discussion took place, which highlighted the need for more visibility of the importance of gender policies.

The WIN event is part of the GEP actions of UNILE.
