Internal online workshop on gender equality in the fields of research and innovation
On Thursday, June 30, 2022. an online workshop on gender equality in the fields of research and innovation was held at FER.
The workshop was held by Assoc. Ph.D. Brigita Miloš, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Rijeka. The workshop is held as part of the implementation of the FER Gender Equality Plan.
The workshop was intended for FER employees, while the key goals were to:
- clarify and discuss basic terms and definitions
- investigate why, in addition to society, economy and culture, gender inequality also affects the field of research and innovation: raising awareness of existing inequalities in science, presentation and discussion of statistical data at the European and national level
- acquaint the participants with current policies at the European Union level in the field of research and innovation with an emphasis on three ERA priorities: facilitating the employment and career advancement of female researchers, increasing the number of women in management positions in research organizations, promoting gender integration as a dimension of scientific and technological research.
- present the concept of institutional change, the plan for gender equality and the CALIPER project
