ECE NTUA at the IEEE MBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI ’22)

On the 27th – 30th of September 2022 the CALIPER team of ECE NTUA participated in the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI ’22), jointly organized with the IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Wearable and Implantable Body Sensor Networks (BSN ’22). During the Conference, various Workshops took place in areas such as Digital Health, Gender Equality, Big Data etc.

Within this framework, the ECE NTUA CALIPER Team participated in the Workshop “Co-designing for gender equality: towards gender balance in scientific careers, decision making bodies and R&I content” on the 27th of September, with a presentation on the ECE School’s GEP, the main challenges faced, as well as promoting factors.

This Co-Design workshop aimed to identify key issues in aspects related to gender policies and develop potential solutions through a design thinking process in order to contribute to integrating the gender perspective in Science, Technology, and Innovation. Key topics were the opportunities in their country or institution and the co-design of potential solutions that can be implemented to foment gender equality in the future. ECE NTUA team gave a presentation entitled “CALIPER: Towards a Gender Equality Plan for ECE NTUA“.

The workshop had 25 participants from the academic sector.
