CALIPER participates in the GEC summit 2022

In the context of the 4th Summit on Gender Equality in Computing (GEC’22), the EU Sister Projects organised the workshop “ACT TOGETHER“, and discussed the H2020 projects and initiatives and their impact on Gender Equality in STEM. The Summit took place on June 16-17, 2022 at the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center, Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Sister projects that participated were: CALIPER, Gearing-Roles, UniSAFE, EUGAIN, ATHENA, LeTSGEPs, GenderSTI and it was held by RESET.

During the workshop, the projects had the opportunity to talk about the impact of their activities on their environments and their work in combating stereotypes and biases in the STEM field. An interactive discussion followed, along with a poll. From the CALIPER part, our project coordinator Kyriaki Karydou and our colleagues Maria Flouri (NTUA) and Marcelo Mora (IRB) presented our efforts and impact throughout the lifespan of the project.

The Sister projects have built a network that creates dialogue and facilitates the exchange of ideas and experiences. This way we create everyday purposes, goals and dreams!
